The 7th Tolkien Seminar, a three-day congress on “Tolkien and Romanticism”, took place at the Friedrich-Schiller-University, Jena in April 2010. Read a short summary of all lectures and some personal remarks by Carola Oberbeck.
Tolkien Tag 32
The 32nd edition of DTG’s Tolkien Day took place in Geldern. After a very successful first run last year, more than 300 guests found their way to the Lower Rhine this time to celebrate all things Tolkien with lectures, exhibitions, games, archery, mead and much, much more.

Herrlich! Diese diebische Freude, welche der Professor empfand, wenn ihm wieder mal was gelungen war, kommt endlich mal ans Licht. Er war ein Mensch von großem Humor und enormer Kinderliebe. Zwar eine Karikatur — aber vielleicht gerade deshalb erfrischend und überraschend. Wenn ich diese Bilder sehe, geht es mir tatsächlich ein bisschen besser. Gratulation an den Künstler.
