Der Gewinner des Künstlerwettbewerbs für das Motiv des DTG-Sammeluntersetzers 2012 steht nun fest. Nach langer, schwerer Beratung hat sich die Jury – in der unter anderem Anke Eißmann, Tolkien Illustratorin und die Künstlerin des Untersetzers aus dem letzten Jahr, saß – für ein Bild von Goswin v. Mallinckrodt, von dem auch der Elbenkrieger stammt, entschieden. Der DTG-Sammeluntersetzer 2012 kann also in Produktion gehen.
Unser erster Implus war natürlich, Euch das tolle Motiv gleich vorzustellen. Der Zweite sagte uns aber, wir sollten Euch noch ein bisschen länger auf die Folter spannen! Damit Ihr aber in der Zwischenzeit etwas zu schauen habt, zeigen wir Euch hier ein paar der Motive, die es leider ganz knapp nicht geschafft haben. Wir danken dem internationalen Teilnehmerfeld für die tollen Einsendungen – und im nächsten Jahr gibt es sicher die nächste Chance.

After long and difficult deliberations, the jury – which includes Anke Eissmann, Tolkien illustrator and the creator of last year’s coaster – finally settled on a motif for DTG’s Collectibe Coaster 2012. The picture was sent in by Goswin v. Mallinckrodt, also the artist behind the Elven warrior above. We can now start production on the coaster.
Our first impulse was to immediately share the wonderful motif with you, of course. A second one told us to keep you in supsense for a while yet! To keep you entertained in the meantime, however, we have put together a few pictures for you – the ones that just didn’t make it but are definitely worth sharing. We thank our international participants in the competition for their wonderful contributions – and there will surely be another chance next year.
