Das tschechische Fantasy-Forum lädt ein zum 10. TolkienCon vom 13.-15. Januar 2012 in Prag. Das Datum wird immer so gewählt, dass es möglichst nah am Geburtstag des Professors liegt. Die erste TolkienCon fand 2003 als Feier zu Tolkien’s 111. Geburtstag statt.
Das Programm besteht aus Vorträgen und Seminaren und ist sehr fokussiert auf musikalische Auftritte und spezielle Aktivitäten der verschiedenen Völker Mittelerdes, bzw. der Fans, die sich mit den jeweiligen Völkern identifizieren. Die Hauptsache bei der TolkienCon ist aber, sich mit Menschen zu treffen, die das Interesse an Tolkiens Werken und seinem Universum teilen.
Die Veranstalter möchten den Austausch mit Tolkien-Fans auf der ganzen Welt fördern und freuen sich somit über jeden internationalen Gast. The programme consists of lectures, seminars, is strongly focused on musical performances and also some particular activities of different Middle-earth nations, or rather fans that identify themselves with those. But the main point of TolkienCon is to meet with people who share an interest in Tolkien’s work and universe.
The organisers would like to include some foreign programme to get a bit of fresh air and see what Tolkien fans are doing in other countries. If you have a lecture, some fan art to exhibit or any other additon to the programme, write an email to info [at] tolkiencon.cz. That is also where you can get details on the event if you ‘just’ want to visit.
