<description>We run a Tolkien Reading and Language Study Group, &quot; Myth &amp; Magic &quot;at our school, and members have presented their work at Tolkien Society Seminar in London in June 2009, and at the Language Conference in Whitehaven in August 2009.In addition, one member (Jodi Storer - age 11) has become one of the youngest contributors to Mallorn, with her poem &quot; Sarehole Dreams. &quot; She is producing a paper at the moment entitled &quot; Tom Bombadil - Middle Earth&#039;s True Romantic &quot; and having looked at the work so far it seemed to fit withing the parameters of to seminar in Jena next April. The main focus is the role Tom Bombadil plays (both in LOTR and the poetry)in representing the triumph of redemption/romanticism over materialism/atheism in Tolkien&#039;s philosophy.

I am writing to see if you would be interested in this subject for a paper at the seminar and, if so, when you would need a synopsis. Sorry, but my German is virtually non-existent but I am trying to improve this ! Perhaps you could let me know your feelings on this proposal for a paper, which Jodi would write and present herself, but with my presence on the day.

Best wishes
